Pregnancy and Ebola

Ebola and Pregnancy
We have been researching the topic: "Ebola's effect on the pregnant female in West Africa. Initially, we had located sparse literature related to the subject. That being said, recently we have begun to read and hear the real-life saga of being pregnant and having Ebola.
According to multiple sources, including the CDC and WHO, it is rare for both the mother and fetus to survivor when infected with Ebola.   Dr. Jamieson, an Ob-Gyn with the CDC, stated through the  Washington Post: “There have been no neonatal survivors.

There is no charge for study-related medical care, including study visits, medications, treatments, and procedures. Volunteers may be compensated for time and travel.Contact the NIH for details!
The following are selected studies being conducted at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Volunteering helps the volunteer too!

Psychology Today posted an interesting article titled: 7 Ways to Heal and Find Happiness again. Number 6/7 was to volunteer. The author, Preston Ni, believed that you should participate in some meaningful work or service to help your healing process.  Further stating that by reaching out and helping others in greater need than you such as volunteering at a soup kitchen, working with Volunteers4Humanity, or engaging in other types of meaningful work you can potentially realize how fortunate you are. Preston believed that if you let a service fill your heart with love and gratitude, you can achieve a new perspective on life.
