A Case of Mitral Stenosis in the DRC

Mitral valve stenosis is a heart condition where the opening of the mitral inlet is narrowed. If the narrowing is clinically significant a person might experience chest pain, feel like their heart is beating fast, cough up blood tinted mucus or present with swollen ankles. On Wednesday, April 19, 2017, from 8-9am PST Chinese and African physicians will review a case on Mitral Stenosis in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
